About the temple.
The temple was interesting. The entrance looked small, for what was instore for me inside.
To my suprise, there were a lot of idols around the temple. I didn’t know that Buddhism involved deities, shrines and worship of this magnitude.

Before people would enter, they would drink from the water fountain, as if to cleanse themselves. I found that interesting as they use wooden spoons to scoop up the water, put it in their hands and drink from it.
There were many tourists, but mainly worshippers crowded the temple areas, which had beautiful parks and neatly carved structures. .The place was filled with the feeling of holinesses and reverence while walking around the place. The air was filled with scents from the incense sticks burning.

Devotees would trapped the scented smoke and touched theIr clothes with it. As if they were blessing themselves with the holy smoke. There were children being taught by their parents on the correct methods of worship.
As respect to all holy places of workship, devotees were instructed to take out their footwears before they entered. This temple had a smart and unique way of dealing with storing thousands of footwears. Solution: They provided paper bags for them to carry it with them.
Naritsan temple is located near Narita Airport. You can catch the hotel bus, or a transport bus which runs regularly passing through the popular hotels, following a set route picking up passengers along the way. The cost of the ticket is 210 yen.
